66 disadvantaged UK students win places at top US universities

The students are recipients of a combined $17 million from the Sutton Trust US Programme. Some have successfully won competitive merit-based scholarships at their universities to cover expenses.

83% of these students are in the first generation of their families to attend university. Most of them also come from households making under £25,000 annually.

In total, as of this year, there will be over 200 Sutton Trust alumni enrolled in US universities. They’ll access around $50 million in aid.
