The Times reports on new Sutton Trust research into unpaid internships.

An unpaid six month internship leaves graduates at least £5,556 out of pocket, according to a study which analysed their typical bills for rent, transport and subsistence while they work for free.

It found a third of all internships are unpaid despite a groundswell of public and political opinion that being asked to work without pay is a block on social mobility.
