This week, Lord Lingfield tabled a short debate in the House of Lords Grand Committee on the improvement of educational attainment of boys at state schools.

Speaking in the debate, Lord Storey cited our Missing Talent report, which shows that every year there are pupils scoring in the top 10% in Key Stage 2 tests at primary school, who five years later receive a set of GCSE results placing them outside the top 25% of pupils. Highly able boys are almost twice as likely to be part of this group than girls.

Lord Storey also mentioned our Class Differences report, which showed that teachers in advantaged schools are more experienced than those in deprived school.
