As part of its ongoing partnership with the Sutton Trust and the University of Warwick to improve the impact of outreach across the higher education sector, the Office for Fair Access has published new guidance for the evaluation of outreach by universities and colleges.

Commenting on the framework, Dr Lee Elliot Major, Chief Executive of the Sutton Trust, said:

“Universities are under considerable pressure to get more disadvantaged young people into higher education but there is a severe lack of evidence about the factors that make some approaches work better than others. This new guidance will place universities in a much better position to judge which of their outreach efforts are most effective.”
