In line with government guidance, the Sutton Trust has made the difficult decision not to run face-to-face programmes until government guidance changes. We take the wellbeing of everyone involved in our programmes and events extremely seriously. As we work with many partners to deliver our programmes, there may be some variation in activities offered this summer.

The programmes this affects are:

Pathways to Law, Law Plus, Banking and Finance and Medicine

  • Sutton Trust national conferences will be delivered digitally
  • Sutton Trust organised work experience will be delivered digitally until the summer
  • University activity may vary – universities will be in contact with their students directly to update on any changes

UK Summer Schools

  • The university you applied to will be in touch to update you if there is a change to their programming
  • The Sutton Trust are developing a digital programme for any students who are unable to attend a face-to-face programme this summer

US Programme

  • The April residential will be delivered digitally
  • Fulbright will be in touch with students directly to communicate any further changes to programming for the summer

Apprenticeship Summer School

  • The apprenticeship summer school will now be a digital programme
  • We will notify students once applications to this programme open

Sutton Scholars

  • University activity may vary – universities will be in contact with their students directly to update on any changes

Teacher Champions and Access Champions

  • Training sessions will now be delivered online and Causeway Education will be in touch with further details

The Trust is open as an organisation and now operating a remote office. We are dedicated to ensuring that those young people who would have attended our programmes during this period receive alternative support, both online and through alternative events later in the year. We are very grateful for the commitment of our partners to finding creative solutions to the current challenges and will be in touch with students directly to share any amended content.

The Trust is working with our partner Bloomberg Philanthropies to accelerate the development of Sutton Trust digital to ensure thousands of young people can access high quality outreach support this summer. More details to follow.

We will be updating our website with information about how other programmes may be affected and will be communicating directly with young people if there is a change in their provision.
