We reflect on another successful year of Pathways placements, with thanks to our programme supporters and partners.

The Sutton Trust Pathways programmes aim to support students to explore a range of careers and build essential knowledge, skills and confidence required to go on to higher education and the world of work. Work experience placements are a cornerstone part of our Pathways programmes and are offered to all students.

We’ve been delighted that, despite the ongoing COVID pandemic and continued digital delivery, 2021 has been our biggest ever year of work experience placements for our Pathways students, with 890 placements offered by over 40 different employers across 60 placement streams.

A special thanks to all of our programme supporters and partners for their continued commitment to championing social mobility, increasing access to their workplaces, and supporting our students with the opportunities to complete work experience. Our work experience hosts for this year were:

And if you are or know a Year 12 student who would be interested in being a part of our 2021-2023 Pathways programmes, you can find out more and apply here. Each programme will be packed with interactive events, opportunities for work experience, the chance to attend a summer school and access to a wealth of online resources – all completely free.
