What is the Fellowship?

The Fellowship brings together a network of individuals who share a passion for championing social mobility.
Since it was established in 2014, the philanthropic support we have received from our Fellows has made an instrumental difference to the young people we work with.

How Fellows support our work

Our Fellows are our closest supporters, and their generous unrestricted gifts offer us the flexibility to direct funds where and when most needed, underpinning the workings of our whole organisation.

Many choose to make multi-year commitments, and this long-term support leads to better outcomes for our programmes and allows us to plan for the future with confidence and ambition.

As an independent charity, our work is entirely reliant on our community of donors including our Fellows, and the need to support our work to tackle the UK’s low social mobility has never been greater.

Get involved – Become a Fellow

We welcome Fellows into our network through the three levels below. We value personal relationships with our Fellows and we will ensure that you are:

  • informed about the impact of your support
  • invited to events and discussions
  • involved with regular touchpoints with our team throughout the year.

Associate

As an Associate, you will be an essential part of our mission, gaining a deeper understanding of the root causes of social mobility through awareness of our new research and year-round webinars; enriching your knowledge of the challenges we are tackling together.

I’m proud to be a Fellow of The Sutton Trust. As a Fellow you gain a great insight into the sector, with opportunities to network with likeminded individuals across various sectors and it’s a privilege to meet inspiring students from across the UK. As the lucky recipient of a fantastic state education, followed by a degree in an era of maintenance grants and zero fees, I know that the opportunities I received are still hard to access. Supporting The Sutton Trust is a positive way of giving back to the next generation.
