LSE will welcome 23 new undergraduate students from under-represented backgrounds in October as part of its ongoing commitment to make university education more accessible.

The incoming students have all taken part in introductory programmes offered by LSE to give them a taste of university life in the lead-up to starting their degrees.

Zahrah recently graduated from the Pathways to Law programme and will start her LLB in Laws at LSE in the Michaelmas term.

She said: “Pathways to Law allowed me to develop contacts in the profession right from the start. My work experience placements at Clifford Chance, Norton Rose Fulbright and Clyde & Co provided a fascinating insight into life in a law firm and I also attended a national conference.”

“The benefits of the programme have been immeasurable: from helping me to develop analytical, debating and negotiation skills as well as meeting LSE lecturers. Pathways to Law has been the crucial turning point for my future and I can’t wait to start my degree,” she said.
