Information for TeachersStudents may apply for the Sutton Trust Summer Schools scheme online from 11th January to 12th March 2010. Details of the summer schools available can be found by following this link. Please also see our FAQs for Teachers. Every student application must be verified by a teacher using the online Teachers' Confirmation Form, found here. To access this form, teachers will need their school/college UCAS number and password. If unknown, these details can be obtained from UCAS's Sutton Trust customer support team on 01242 223714 or at suttontrust@ucas.ac.uk Once logged in, teachers will be able to view all of the summer school applications submitted by students from their school/college. Teachers are asked to review each application and confirm that the information submitted by the student is accurate and complete. Please note, teachers are not asked to provide formal references for applicants. The 'Further Details' section of the online form should be used to provide information about a student's personal circumstances that should be taken into account with their application. Examples of relevant factors include:
If the student has ticked the alternative qualification box on their application, the additional space should be used to outline the subjects/qualifications they are studying or have completed. All applications should be verified by teachers by 22nd March 2010. Any unverified applications will be marked as incomplete. Teachers will be able to view a read-only list of applicants from their school/college after this closing date. Students will be informed of decisions by the end of April, except Cambridge applicants who will be contacted by the end of May. |
