Teachers' Information

We ask that every student application is verified by a teacher using the online Teachers' Confirmation Form - here are some points on completing it:
  1. To access the form, teachers will need their school/college UCAS number and password. If unknown, these details can be obtained from UCAS's Sutton Trust customer support team (see contact details below).
  2. Once logged in, teachers will be able to view all of the summer school applications submitted by students from their school/college. Teachers are asked to review each application and confirm that the information submitted by the student is accurate and complete.
  3. The 'Further Details' section of the online form should be used to provide information about a student's personal circumstances that should be taken into account with their application.  We are not asking for formal references. Examples of relevant factors include:
  • the student is currently/has been in care of the local authority
  • the student has a disability or medical condition affecting study
  • the student cares for a sick or disabled parent or family member
  • other circumstances that would make higher education difficult

If the student has ticked the alternative qualification box on their application, the additional space should be used to outline the subjects/qualifications they are studying or have completed.

Please note

  • We do not accept written references - teachers must verify their students' application using the online Teachers' Confirmation Form.
  • If you have any technical problems with the online application form or need to check your school/college UCAS number and/or password, please call the Sutton Trust customer support team at UCAS on 01242 223714, or email on suttontrust@ucas.ac.ukPlease do not contact the Sutton Trust.
  • All applications should be verified by teachers by 19th March 2012.
  • Any unverified applications will be marked as incomplete - but they will still be put through to the university applied for.
  • Teachers will only be able to view a read-only list of applicants from their school/college after the closing date.
  • Students will be informed of decisions by 27th April 2012 - due to data protection issues we are unable to provide schools with a list of students who have been accepted onto the programme.
