Projects we have funded

Please note that the Trust is currently reviewing its grant making priorities and is not accepting any applications for funding until later in the year. Please check this website for an update.

Pate's Grammar School School projects

We fund a variety of different projects in schools, including Government sponsored schemes like the specialist schools and Independent State School Partnerships, and individual smaller schemes.

Into University University projects

Our work in this area focuses on access and widening participation, including summer schools, and on encouraging young people to progress to higher education and the professions.

The Belvedere School Open access

This project has been running at the Belvedere School in Liverpool since September 2000 and enables able children to attend an independent day school, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Early years

The Sutton Trust funds projects for 0-3 year olds that combat the wide and growing difference in educational attainment between advantaged and disadvantaged children which can be evident as early as 22 months, and which has a long-term impact on educational success.

Research

Research is at the heart of the Sutton Trust's work. We believe it is important to ensure the Trust - and all working in education - act on the basis of investigation, rather than assumption and supposition.
