The Times reported our Degrees of Debt research

University graduates in England incur the largest student debts in the English-speaking world, an education charity has claimed. According to the Sutton Trust, graduates leave with loans of about £44,000, more even that average debts in the United States, where fees vary from £6,600 at state universities to £42,400 a year at Harvard. The trust is against fees being raised to £9,000 a year.
