Sir Peter Lampl: T levels just the start of readying the workforce

Sir Peter Lampl wrote a column for The Sun on proposed changes to technical courses to be announced in the Budget tomorrow.
PLANS for new T levels being announced in the Budget tomorrow should herald the start of a long-overdue revolution in technical skills for our young people.
Governments of all colours for more than 70 years have promised to place work-related lessons on an equal footing with academic education. But the promise has never been delivered.
As we prepare for Brexit, we need to improve the skills of our young people more than ever before.
So I hope that Chancellor Philip Hammond succeeds where earlier governments have failed.
